I liked this source because it kind of debunked people who wrote articles on basically information that didn’t exist or false information all together. It gives an example of someone who wrote an article on Dog Parks and why they’re “Petri dishes for canine ‘rape culture.” Supposedly there was a lot of research done but it turns out it was all fake. I think this gave a good example of falsification because all of the examples given were of false studies and information.
Question: What impact did the silk road have on the western economy?
Finding a Book: I looked on the WebCat thing. I started with words like “silk road”, “trade”. It came up with quite a few books about the silk road and I saw a few that were about the silk road today. Which made me confused because it technically isn’t around anymore. It was like the 8th or 9th down and then it was there.
CITE: I chose to do it in Turabian because I’m a history major and I actually am learning how to do that right now in one of my classes.

Question #1: My general topic is the silk road and how it effected the economy
Question #2: a. My core question is: How the silk road effected the western economy of the old world.
b. I chose this topic because the silk road was a very significant trade route in the ancient world. With the main export being silk, China exported many other things which had an affect on the surrounding civilizations. Not only was it significant, I just don’t know that much about it and would like to learn more about the silk road and in what ways it expanded the world of trade.
a. What impact did the silk road have on the western economy?
b. silk road, old world, Chinese exports, western economy, western trade, eastern economy
c. Marco Polo, silk worms, eastern exports
